SENIOR CITIZENS PROGRAMS:

The Pelham Civic Association provides continued support for senior citizens in our community throughout the year through donations and sponsorship of programs and events.

We have recently begun hosting a series of free seminars whose subject matter is tailored to the specific needs and interests of seniors. The topics range from financial issues to nutritional tips.

The one-hour presentations have dealt with: -- Medicare and Medicaid advice -- Tips on Social Security -- Protection from Scams -- Eating better to control diabetes -- Managing your medications

These are opportunities to join your neighbors and learn from the experts about the things you should know, and what you should do NOW.

The noontime sessions are held at the R.J. Daronco Town House, at 20 Fifth Avenue in Pelham.
